2003-2004 Programs
The 2003-2004 program answers directly and globally to a whole set of basic needs of the populations or to more specific needs which are complementary actions to local initiatives. CongoDirect is in search of coherence and integration of the strategic plan in the local, national and regional context in order to enhance the synergy amongst partners but also in impact.
We promote, with all our partners, at the field level, a strategy of intervention which favors the implication of beneficiaries in problem identification, definition of needs, classification of priorities, research of adapted and realizable solutions and concrete implementation of actions that make it possible to answer to needs. The issue is that of supporting structures that are representative of the populations (village communities, female groupings, youth associations, traditional leaders ) as well as local resources and wealth (human, material, organizational) in scope of empowering the populations, the appropriation of developed projects and their adaptation to the local context.
Our projects also integrate actions aiming at reinforcing technical and organisational skills of local development actors from the community. On the other hand, they have income generating activity mechanisms, either at the community level in order to allow the recovering of project operational expenses or at the individual level in order to increase the financial capacities of families so that they take charge of themselves.
